Thyme Out

Thyme Out started as a food truck in Petaling Jaya in 2014 and opened this restaurant in Bandar Sunway in 2016. It is the brand's headquarters and the only outlet that takes table bookings. The shop has a bright yellow front, high ceilings and a counter where you order and pay.

The menu is Tex-Mex comfort food. Lamb birria tacos come with consommé for dipping, and there are classic chicken, beef, lamb and mushroom tacos in soft or hard shells. Lamb Cubanos, quesadillas, burritos and burrito bowls fill out the mains. Starters include elote en vaso and loaded nachos, and churros come with a dip. Drinks are alcohol-free, among them house-made horchata and a jalapeño soda.

It works well for students, families and quick lunches. Weekday lunch specials cost RM12, and there is a kids' menu. The menu has no pork, but the restaurant does not publish halal certification. Thyme Out also has a second outlet at Centrepoint, Bandar Utama, and offers delivery and catering.
