Undisclosed Location opened in 2022 on a quiet SS4 shophouse row in Petaling Jaya, set up by Mervin Chin, a former barista who also runs Rinse. The room mixes Greek statues and mythology-inspired art with a bar that the venue says holds PJ's largest tequila and mezcal collection, and Mexico's ambassador to Malaysia has written to thank Chin for introducing agave spirits to local drinkers.
The kitchen puts Malaysian flavours into Mexican formats. The Malacca asam fish taco pairs crisp fish with a tangy southern-style gravy, guacamole and pico de gallo, while the varuval chicken taco and chilli crab nachos lean further into local cooking. Classic smoked beef tacos, beef fajitas and grilled lamb shoulder cover the more familiar ground, and the bar pours mezcal highballs and mules alongside neat agave.
It suits groups who want tacos with a cocktail list, and it takes taco parties for up to 45 people. The menu is pork-free but alcohol is served. It is closed on Tuesdays. Chin's newer Comprendes, Mendes? sits upstairs and serves a traditional, pork-based taco menu.
