Chico Loco is the rotisserie and bar from the Super Loco group, the team behind Super Loco and Lucha Loco, on Amoy Street in the CBD. Chicken is brined for eight hours in an aromatic recipe, then slow-cooked on the rotisserie with a spice blend for a smoky finish. The room is casual, with a neon chicken sign and walls of Mexican-style posters.
Pick a quarter, half or whole signature chicken, mild or spicy, with sides such as tomato rice, chico slaw, grilled broccoli or chipotle Brussels sprouts, and add chimichurri yoghurt or smoky chipotle sauce. Ancho smoked wagyu brisket is the alternative protein. Flour-tortilla tacos come with pulled beef, rotisserie chicken, Baja fish or Tajín cauliflower, and there are nachos, queso fries, elotes street corn and churros.
Express lunch sets make it useful for office workers, and El Loco Hour runs daily until 7pm with margaritas, beers and wine at S$10++. It is closed on Sundays and opens only for dinner on Saturdays. Book through Bistrochat.
