Salsa Mexicana sits on Prabaramee Road, the coast road running north from Patong to Kamala, near the Wyndham Grand at Kalim Bay. It is a short ride from Bangla Road but feels much quieter. Its terraces step down the hillside towards the sea, and the roadside entrance is decorated with Mexican figures and flowers.
The most popular dish is chicken fajitas, which arrive sizzling with guacamole, sour cream, salsa, rice and cheese. The rest of the menu covers tacos, burritos, nachos, quesadillas and enchiladas, and there are vegetarian and vegan options. A few Thai and European dishes are available for anyone who wants a change.
It works well for a sunset dinner for couples or families staying in Patong or Kalim. Most mains cost ฿200–400, no service charge is added, and Visa and Mastercard are accepted. It is open daily from 11am to 11pm.
