El Gordo Tacos & Grill is a street-level taqueria on Lockhart Road in Wan Chai, run under the Factory Originals name. It keeps late hours, open from noon until 2am every day, which makes it a useful stop in one of Hong Kong Island's busiest nightlife strips.
Foodie's 2026 guide to the city's Mexican restaurants lists it for traditional tacos, naming carne asada, birria and carnitas as the fillings to order. It is one of eleven places on that list, which runs from Central to Discovery Bay. Tuesday is the night to go: tacos are buy-one-get-one-free from 5pm to 10pm.
It suits a quick, casual plate of tacos before or after a night out in Wan Chai rather than a long sit-down dinner. We could not find an official website or online booking, so call ahead for groups. We found no other branches.
