Holy Guacamole

Holy Guacamole is an Australian-owned taqueria and cantina on busy Jl. Melasti in Legian, open daily from noon until late. The interior is loud with colour, from yellow walls painted with tequila brands to bright bar stools, and there is a smoke-free upstairs area. It won Best Mexican Restaurant at the Exquisite Awards 2025.

Portions are generous. The Holy Fajitas arrive sizzling with peppers and onions, guacamole, pico de gallo and eight tortillas, with chicken, Australian beef, crispy pork belly or prawns. The La Piñata Salad comes in an edible tortilla bowl. Tacos are Rp70k each or three for Rp199k, from birria to crispy pork belly, and a newer special is beef rendang birria tacos, a nod to Indonesia. Holy Nachos and the Mexican shrimp cocktail are popular starters, and the bar runs to frozen margaritas, sangria and tequila.
