Seminyak & Kerobokan

Seminyak, Kerobokan, Legian and Kuta make up Bali's busiest restaurant belt, and Mexican food here ranges from styled cantinas to beachfront sunset bars and neighbourhood taquerias. Holidaymakers and groups make up much of the crowd.

Motel Mexicola, open since 2013, is a 1960s Acapulco-styled cantina with hand-pressed tortillas and a long agave list. Lacalita Seminyak has served modern Mexican food since 2012, including beef cheek in black mole. La Casa Mexican is a sunset bar at Anantara Vacation Club on Double Six Beach. Holy Guacamole in Legian has sizzling fajitas and a kids' menu, and Sinaloa Bali is a Mexican and Cuban cantina in Legian's back streets. Don Juan at Kuta's Bemo Corner serves breakfast burritos from 8am, and Tacos Aqui Umalas has made birria tacos since 2019.

Traffic is heavy in the evenings, so allow time or use a scooter taxi. Book Motel Mexicola and Lacalita for weekend dinners.
