Bali has more listings in this guide than anywhere except Singapore. Surf towns, beach towns and the rice-field cafés of Ubud all have their own taco spots, and many make their own tortillas.
In Seminyak, Motel Mexicola has served al pastor tacos since 2013 and Lacalita since 2012. Canggu and Pererenan have ORIGEN, which presses corn tortillas on clay comales, and Agave & Azul Taqueria with blue-corn offal tacos. In Uluwatu, Lola's Cantina Mexicana stocks over 40 tequilas and mezcals, while Taqisa in Sanur is family-run. Ubud has Taco Casa, one of the island's longest-running Mexican kitchens, and Té Kila Ubud in Pengosekan.
Traffic between areas can be slow, so plan to eat near where you are staying. Most places are casual and inexpensive. Book ahead at the busier cantinas for weekend evenings, and note that most Bali listings serve pork.
