Taqisa is a family-run taco shop on Jalan Danau Tamblingan, Sanur's main dining strip. Its recipes come from the owner's family kitchen in Mexico and have been handed down through generations of women. Salsas, guacamole and tortillas are made by hand in-house each day, and the kitchen is open from 9am to 10pm.
You can build your own street tacos, burritos, bowls, nachos, quesadillas or tortas, choosing from carne asada, al pastor, carnitas, tinga chicken, Baja fish, chorizo con papas or chipotle tofu. Honeycombers recommends the carne asada, al pastor and chipotle tofu tacos. Add elote, the salsa trio or slow-cooked beans, and a margarita from the bar.
Tacos cost IDR 15,000–25,000 each, so it is easy on the wallet, and the Little Amigos kids' menu makes it a good pick for families staying in Sanur. Pork is on the menu, but there are several vegetarian fillings.
