Lola's started in Canggu in 2018 and brought its cantina formula to Jalan Labuansait in Uluwatu, where neon signs, bright tiles and painted skulls set the tone. Days are relaxed and family-friendly. Nights are louder, with live Latin bands on Wednesdays and a DJ party on Fridays from 9pm.
Tortillas are pressed by hand, and the tostadas use home-made corn tortillas. The taco list runs from beef suadero and carnitas street tacos to crispy Baja shrimp or fish, chimichurri steak and vegan jackfruit carnitas. Any three cost a set price. For sharing, there are nachos, a chorizo queso dip and smoked beef chilaquiles, and churros finish things off. The bar holds more than 40 tequilas and mezcals, and margaritas are two-for-one at happy hour.
It suits groups and a lively night out, and there is a children's menu for earlier visits. Bookings go through ResDiary, but from 7pm to 8.30pm it is walk-in only. The other branch is on the Canggu Shortcut in Tibubeneng, and the sister venue Lolitas sits on the Suluban cliffs.
