Chileco Mexican Grill is a fast, counter-style Mexican kitchen on the lower-ground floor of World Trade Center Tower 2 on Jl. Jenderal Sudirman, aimed squarely at the office crowd in the Sudirman and Kuningan towers. It keeps office hours, opening at 8am on weekdays and closing early on Saturdays, and it describes itself on Instagram as 100% no pork and no lard.
The format is build-your-own: choose a burrito, a naked burrito bowl or soft or crunchy tacos, then pick a filling such as grilled chicken, beef steak, lengua (beef tongue) or a vegetarian option, plus rice, beans and salsas. Quesadillas come with the same fillings, and starters include nachos and hash browns with jalapeño cheese, salsa roja or guacamole. Reviewers single out the burritos, the nachos and the generous portions of meat, and there is Tex-Mex fried rice for something different.
It suits a quick working lunch or an early breakfast burrito, and prices sit below Rp100,000 a head. Expect queues and tight seating at peak lunch hour. It closes on Sundays.
