Tacos De Mamas

Tacos De Mamas is a small taco shop on Jl. Bendungan Walahar in Bendungan Hilir, the Central Jakarta neighbourhood everyone calls Benhil. The brand comes from World Kitchen Jakarta and has a second outlet on the fourth floor of Grand ITC Permata Hijau in South Jakarta. The Benhil shop is compact, with only a handful of tables.

Birria is what it is known for: slow-cooked, spiced beef folded into tortillas and served with the cooking broth for dipping. The menu also covers quesadillas, burritos and loaded nachos, and the kitchen bottles its own table sauces in heat levels from mild to hot. This is a place for a quick lunch or an easy weeknight dinner rather than a long night out. The Benhil shop opens from noon every day except Monday and stays open until 10.30pm or 11pm; street parking is tight. Both branches also deliver through GoFood and GrabFood. The Permata Hijau outlet is at Grand ITC, 4th floor, unit E7.
