Rico Rico

Rico Rico is a Mexican bar and grill run by Katrina Group in Block D of Clarke Quay. The colourful shophouse front opens onto a dining room with a large graffiti-style mural and an alfresco area by the river.

The menu mixes Mexican staples with grill dishes. Barbacoa tacos of slow-cooked duck confit on blue corn tortillas are the signature, served to share between two or three. Sizzling fajitas, tlayudas, quesadillas, tostadas and burritos cover the classics, while the 1.1kg tomahawk steak and baby pork ribs anchor the grill section. Start with elote or nachos and finish with churros. Drinks run to margaritas by the glass or pitcher, the Coronarita and sangria.

It suits groups and nights out along the river, with late opening until 1am on Fridays and Saturdays. The terrace is pet friendly and the restaurant takes private functions. Bookings are through Chope.
