Super Loco Robertson Quay is the riverside cantina of the Super Loco Group, the team behind Lucha Loco on Duxton Hill. It sits in The Quayside next to the InterContinental, with walls papered in colourful posters inspired by the street art of Mexico City's barrios and tables looking out over the Singapore River.
The menu is built for sharing. Start with Mexican street corn, ceviche and tuna and crab tostadas, then move on to tacos such as the Baja fish, which is the most recommended order on Chope. Larger plates include Mexican pork ribs and achiote roast chicken, and the churros make a good finish. There are plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Weekend brunch starts early, a Sunday roast runs from 5pm, and El Loco Hour offers discounted drinks.
It is family and pet friendly, with a dedicated kids' menu, which makes it a good pick for long weekend lunches. Weekday opening starts at 5pm from Monday to Wednesday. The group's other Super Loco is at Customs House, 70 Collyer Quay, overlooking Marina Bay.
