La Lupita has been part of Bangkok's Mexican scene since 2018, first in Sathorn and now on Silom Road, under chef Alberto Garcia Espinosa. The space is bright and friendly, with colourful sombreros, loud music and a party mood that suits birthdays and after-work drinks. Its late opening, until 2am from Tuesday to Saturday, makes it a handy stop for a night out in Silom.
Tortillas are made in house. Smoked pork belly tacos with onion and coriander are a long-standing order, and diners also rate the Baja prawn tacos, the chilaquiles and the guacamole. On Taco Tuesday you can order ten tacos, which arrive together on a large serving board. The bar pours margaritas and other tequila drinks.
La Lupita suits groups and celebrations more than quiet dinners. It opens from 2pm daily, and an Eatigo deal has offered discounts on burritos, quesadillas, fajitas and nachos on weekdays. Bookings are taken by phone or through the links on its Linktree page.
