Mexican Eat Where

Silom, Charoen Krung & Chinatown

Silom, Charoen Krung and Chinatown give Bangkok's Mexican scene some of its most ambitious cooking, alongside late-night taco stops. The crowd ranges from office workers on Silom to diners making a special trip.

Ojo, on the 76th floor of The Standard, Bangkok Mahanakhon, is Thailand's highest restaurant, with modern Mexican food from chef Paco Ruano. Delia, north of Chinatown, is chef Gaby Espinosa's Michelin-listed restaurant with pork jowl al pastor. On Charoen Krung, Cholos is an LA-style taqueria started by Gaggan and Gaa alumni. La Lupita on Silom Road runs Taco Tuesday boards and pours margaritas until 2am, and Sunrise Tacos, on the corner of Silom Soi 4, is open 24 hours and makes its own nixtamal corn tortillas.

BTS Chong Nonsi and Sala Daeng and MRT Silom serve the Silom end. Book Ojo and Delia ahead, especially at weekends, and check Ojo's booking terms when you reserve.
