Sunrise Tacos began in 2007, when founder Greg Lange set out to make proper corn tortillas in Bangkok. The chain now runs branches across Thailand, and the Silom outlet on the corner of Soi 4 is open around the clock, close to Patpong and the Silom bar strip. It is a relaxed, order-at-the-counter style of place.
The kitchen makes its masa daily from nixtamalised corn, and you can build tacos and burritos to your own taste. Popular orders include quesa-birria tacos with consommé, pork al pastor cooked on a vertical spit, barbacoa and Baja-style fish tacos. The guacamole, made with imported Australian Hass avocados, is the house signature, and there are fajitas, enchiladas, chilaquiles and margaritas too.
Sunrise suits a late-night or early-morning meal after Silom's nightlife, and delivery runs 24 hours via Grab. Other branches include Terminal 21, Sukhumvit 33/1, Big C Ekamai, La Salle's Avenue, Mega Bangna and The Promenade in Bangkok, plus Pattaya, Phuket, Koh Samui and Krabi.
