Catrika opened in 2026 on the ground floor of the Valia Hotel on Sukhumvit Soi 22, a short walk from BTS Phrom Phong. The interior takes its cues from Mexican folklore and alebrije spirit animals, with an energetic front bar, a jungle-themed Jaguar Lounge and a more romantic La Catrina Lounge.
Mexican cooking is the core of the menu. Go for the birria tacos with cheese and adobo, the chicken mole made with house-made sauce, tacos al pastor with pineapple, and carne asada with guacamole; queso fundido with chorizo and stuffed jalapeños make good starters, and churros con chocolate finish things off. A Latin grill section adds Peruvian-style ceviche, chimichurri steak and grilled octopus. Every dish comes with house salsas.
It suits groups and families as much as a night of margaritas, with a Latino family brunch on Sundays and live Latin music on some nights. It is open late, until 1am daily, and takes bookings via WhatsApp and Chope.
