Danzante has been open on Sukhumvit Soi 61, between Ekkamai and Phrom Phong, for a little over two years and has stayed largely under the radar. It is a neighbourhood restaurant rather than a party venue, open from 4pm on weekdays and from 11am at weekends, and it earned a place on BK Magazine's 2026 list of the city's Mexican restaurants.
The appeal is a menu of dishes that are hard to find elsewhere in the city at sensible prices. Look for chiles rellenos, stuffed and fried peppers in tomato sauce, and cochinita pibil, the Yucatecan pork slow-cooked in achiote and citrus. To drink there are micheladas and margaritas.
It suits a relaxed weeknight dinner or a weekend lunch for people who want home-style Mexican cooking without the hype or the price tag of the bigger Sukhumvit names. It is a short taxi or motorbike ride from either BTS Ekkamai or Thong Lo, and closes at 11pm every night, so it works for a fairly early evening.
Hours and prices change, so please confirm with the restaurant before you go.
