Tacos & Salsa is an easy-to-miss Mexican restaurant in On Nut that BK Magazine still rates as the best place for Mexican food in the neighbourhood. The look is bright and bold, with hand-painted murals and the occasional sombrero, and the cooking is simple and unfussy. The brand began in a shophouse on Sukhumvit Soi 18, where the owner brought recipes from Mexico City.

The Baja fried fish tacos, with cabbage, salsa and a creamy chipotle dressing, are what the place is known for. BK's writers say the dish they keep returning to is the chimichanga, so full of cheese it is hard to finish. Taco dorados are deep-fried and filled with pork carnitas and guacamole, and the taco platter is the order for a big group.
